12-07-2017· 1:2:4 is a rough ratio of volumes or weight, but don't mix it up as the Density of each are different. ASSUME:Concrete Density is 2400kg/m3 and a head pan is 25kg max carrying weight. A ratio of 1:2:4 gives 7 parts. Cement is 1 part therefore 1/7 of 2400 = 342kg = 6.8 x 50kg bags. Sand is 2 parts, therefore 2/7 of 2400 = 684kg. (27 head pans)
Example calculation Estimate the quantity of cement, sand and stone aggregate required for 1 cubic meter of 1:2:4 concrete mix. Ans. Materials required are 7 nos. of 50 kg bag of cement, 0.42 m 3 of sand and 0.83 m 3 of stone aggregate.
04-03-2017· Since we know the ratio of cement to sand (1:2) and cement to aggregate (1:4) Volume of Sand required would be = 0.035*2 = 0.07 cubic meter (cum) Volume of Aggregate required would be = 0.035*4 = 0.14 cubic meter (cum)

From above method, we can calculate the quantity of sand, cement and water in mortar. Water Cement ratio of different grade of Concrete – Table. Normally, we used the water-cement ratio falls under 0.4 to 0.6 per IS Code 10262(2009) for nominal mix i.e. M7.5, M10,M15,M20,M25.
1. Nominal Mixes In the past the specifications for concrete prescribed the ... aggregate are in the ratio 1:2:4 or the mix contains one part of cement, two parts of fine aggregate and ... Approximate sand and water contents per cu.m of concrete W/C = 0.6, Workability = 0.8 C.F.
Quantity of Aggregate in cum = 1.54 / 7 × 4 (where 4 is the ratio of aggregate ) = 0.88 cum. Quantity of Aggregate in kg = 0.88 × 1500 (Density of Aggregate = 1450 to 1550 kg / cum ) = 1320 kg. Quantity of Aggregate in cubic feet = 1.54 / 7 × 4 × 35.314 = 31.07 cft . Alternative way. Quantity of Aggregate in cubic feet = Nos of cement bags × Volume of one bag cement in cft × Ratio of ...
08-09-2015· Volume of concrete = 1.7 x 1.7 x 0.5 = 1.4 cu.m It looks like you are using m20 grade mix with extra sand. If you follow that mix proportion then to calculate use this following method. Total ratio = 1 + 2 + 3 = 6 Cement required = (1/6) x 1.5 = 0.25 cu.m (refer the post to change cu.m to bags) Sand = 0.25 x 2 = 0.5 cu.m Aggregate = 0.25 x 3 = 0.75 cu.m
Both of these concrete calculators make an allowance for the fact that material losses volume after being mixed to make concrete. Calculator are provided for a general mix and a paving mix, the different ratio of materials are: General mix - 1:5 cement:all-in ballast or 1:2½:3½ cement:sharp sand:gravel. Paving mix - 1:3½ cement:all-in ...
18-03-2017· From above, if the concrete mix is 1:2:4, to get a cubic meter of concrete we require. 1.Cement = 6 bags = 300 kgs. 2.Fine Aggregate = 115/0.167 = 689 kg. 3.Coarse Aggregate = 209/0.167 = 1252 kg. 4…

Nominal mixes offer simplicity and under normal circumstances, have a margin of strength above that specified. However, due to the variability of mix ingredients the nominal concrete for a given workability varies widely in strength. Nominal mix ratios for concrete are 1:2:4 for M15, 1:1.5:3 for M20 etc. Standard Mixes or Ratio
For Cement, Sand and Coarse Aggregate. This is a Volumetric Calculation. Assuming we need 2 m 3 of concrete for M20 Concrete Mix, (Mix Ratio, M20 = 1 : 1.5 : 3) Total Part of the Concrete = 1+1.5+3 = 5.5 Parts. Therefore, Cement Quantity = (Cement Part / Concrete Parts ) * Concrete Volume
