If your budget permits individual machines go that route. If it doesn't pick one of the machines and go that route anyway. I believe you will be happier in the long run.
Jun 16, 2010· I have had some issues with my Smithy but they have greatly improved that machine I believe in 2003 or 2004. If you have limited funds I would recommend the Smithy Granite MAX series 1340, it has a larger head stock hole (1.6"), will accept longer material (40") and more speeds.

I believe the machine is approx. 10 yrs old and in really good shape appearance wise externally and from talking with the previous owner had been well cared for . The ways are smooth and doesnt appear to have had any bad crashes or abuse . And let
