Closed cell polyethylene is used with cold sealant applications and is moderately compressible. For hot applications, cross-linked polyethylene (closed cell, moderately compressible) or polyurethane (open-cell, highly compressible) are suitable.

READ BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT

DEERY Hot-Applied Sealants are heated in a hot-oil jacketed melter with constant mechanical agitation and a calibrated therm ometer to monitor temperature. Melters should meet requirements of A ppendix X1.1 of ASTM D6690. Heat transfer oil should not exceed 525°F (274°C). The meltermust be able to safely heat product to 400°F (204°C). Note:
